An acrylic painting done in the mid80s for a show at the Limelight in NYC called "the Bone Show". I actually sold it for $300 !!

I was really drawn to this by the vivid colours...they are so lively and yet he is in death..... an ironic paradox.
Great piece of work, love the futuristic feel to it...almost like he was an android........

Can you rmember what your inspiration was to paint it like this?

It's funny you mentioned futuristic and android ! because the original name of it was "Jesus and the Flying Saucer". The photo didnt capture the whole painting. The saucer was in the upper left corner shooting a ray beam onto Jesus. sorta sci-fi religion i guess :) I wish ii had a better pic but i don't.
It was sold at a gallery in the East Village in NYC in the 80s....some doctor bought it.:)

Maybe around 48 inches by 30 or so. It's been gone for so long I don't really remember. Thanks for the comment :)
