Smoking had been banned in the bars in Rome. Many patrons spend most of their time on the sidewalks in front of bars to light up and see and be seen. One bar was located a few steps from the Colosseum. I spent quite a few wonderful evenings there. Who wouldn't with a view of this monumental structure.

Wow, you sure do get around. I loved Rome, even though I was only there for a few hours, which is far far far too little time to really see this great city. It's cool that you got a new angle on one of the most photographed buildings in the world.

lol...yes, I thought I'd died and gone there. The icing on the angel food cake; the sidewalk outside of the bar was filled with gorgeous local talent

Thanks very much! I got lucky. The artificial lighting on the building came out perfectly. I don't even think I had to do much color/contrast adjusting later. The angle was probably helped by more than a few Peroni beers I'm sure
